PreSeason :: Week 1

Wow, I got to start the whole game. I dont know if that is a bad or good thing
but I did learn a lot. We ended up loosing in overtime by a 57 yard run. I thought we had a shot at tackling him but he out ran
all our Defenders.
On the day I threw 7 pass complete out of 19, not to good. I was also only able to pick up 52 yards but
I think I learned a lot even with the bad day. One thing I learned was you cant out run line backers in the NFL. They caught up to me faster then college
backers ever could. What a shocker.
I did get to spend a lot of time with Brett Favre as I told you I probably was going to do. He showed me
a lot of key things I did not know before, hopefully he can tell me about a few of things I did wrong today but I probably will just
have to learn from my mistakes.
THE DRAFT
Its a dream come true. After I signed the contract earlier today
I officially became a Greenbay Packer. Brett Favre Retired four seasons ago but became the offensive coordinator
prior to the free agent period began. I was very glad when I heard he was the reason coach Rathman picked me in the first round.
I honestly thought Tim Tebow was going to be taking first but with the #10 pick they snagged me. The Packers
have been on a Quarterback roller coaster these past few years. They jumped from Aaron Rogers to Matt Leinart but none
of them panned out. I will be starting at Kicker but quarterback is another thing. Greenbay has a good Defense with
an average offense and I'm pretty sure they dont want to give me the keys just yet. As long as I have a good preseason
I should be set.
The most exciting part about trainning camp in the next few weeks is meeting the legend him self.
Hopefully I can get some much needed tips about the NFL game compared to the College
game.
My next update will be after the first preseason game, I think we play the Texans.. Anyway I have to study this
whole playbook which is why I am not going to waste a lot of time updating after trainning camp but I'll let you know
about that come game time as well.
The Beginning :: First entry
Hey, just got my new computer so I figured I Would start a journal. To those of you who dont know me my name
is Matt Otto and I have been playing football for the Georgia Bulldogs the past Four years. In high school I played
Kicker and Quarterback which kind of followed me into my College career. I was red shirted my first year at Georiga
since they told me I was not going to start. The following four seasons I started each game.
The first year I started
we went 6-6 then lost to Ohio in the International Bowl held in Toronto, Canada. The Following Year our record improved to 7-5
but lost to Penn State in the Outback bowl held in Tampa, FL. My Junior year we finnally won a bowl game, we beat Nebraska
in the Cotton Bowl after a 8-4 season. My last year at Georgia we went 13-0 but did not make the national championship. I was also runner up for Heisman Trophy. We did how ever beat Oklahoma in the Sugerbowl which ment a lot.
As for right now theres a few days before draft day. I am hoping I can get on
a team in quarterback trouble so I can fill in right away but if not I am very confident I can start at kicker. A few teams
have shown interest but there isn't much to say just yet. I'll have an update after the draft letting yall know whats up.
